*Vegetation cover, building density, and the presence of roads were scored for 100 cells of a 1 km2 area around each capture site; the mean of the 100 cell scores are given for each site. Density of multi-storey buildings and residential human population are given for each settlement. Urbanization scores are the PC1 values from a principal component analysis of the seven habitat variables; component loadings are given for each variable in brackets.
