Here we present Matlab R2024b files and data for generating the results presented in https://control.fs.cvut.cz/en/aclab/experiments/sym2ddr for the example section of the paper Michiels, et al., ‘Design and analysis of spatially symmetric multi-dimensional delayed resonators’, submitted to Journal of Sound and Vibration. The results for the six presented Cases (presented in the web by graphs, data tables and 2D animations) are stored in the files Case1.mat, …, Case6.mat. For plotting the results, use the function plot_data(k), where k refers to the number of the Case, e.g. plot_data(1) will plot the data for the Case 1. For verification and reproducibility purposes, we also provide the (rough) m-files performing synthesis and simulations. Based on the position and character of the excitation force, the files design the active feedback, asses the energy consumption limits in each of the three links, define the controlled system matrices (for both delayed and non-delayed model parts) and run the simulations for interconnection of both symmetric and asymmetric absorbers with the vibrating platform. Compare_2DDR.m – performs the computations and simulations (using Simulation_symmetric.slx and Simulation_asymmetric.slx) for a force at a predefined position and an angle (see the heading part of the m-file). Compare_2DDR_rot.m – performs the computations and simulations (using Simulation_symmetric_rot.slx and Simulation_asymmetric_rot.slx) for a rotating force at a predefined position (see the heading part of the m-file).
