Effects of blue light and hypochlorous acid on the macaque cranial implant microbiota

The goal of this study was to evaluate the effects of a commercially available anti-acne blue light device on the microbiota of the skin-cranial implant margin for macaques used in neuroscience research. Each macaque had an area exposed to blue light + hypochlorous acid and a separate area exposed to hypochlorous acid only. Swabs were collected pre-study and 24 hours after the 12th treatment session.
