Exploring the interaction between Staphylococcus aureus and Helcococcus kunzii in chronic wounds

Here, we studied the adaptive behavior of S. aureus and H. kunzii co-isolated in DFUs. The bacterial interaction was investiagated by gene expression level using RT-PCR in mono and coculture conditions and confirmed by whole genome sequencing.
