Antarctic krill and ice krill samples were collected in the western Ross Sea during the ARAON cruise in 2018-2019 (ANA09B). Chick carcasses of Adelie and Emperor penguins were collected at Cape Hallett, Inexpressible Island, Cape Washington, and Coulman Island. Pretreated samples were used for carbon stable isotope analysis, and untreated samples were used for nitrogen stable isotope. The stable isotope ratios of carbon and nitrogen were determined using an isotope ratio mass spectrometer coupled with and elemental analyzer (EA-IRMS).
