Integrated Dataset On Dietary Intake, Anthropometry, Biochemical Markers, And Gut Microbiota In Ecuadorian Children And Adolescents

This study assessed the nutritional quality and gut microbiota composition of 53 adolescents (12–17 years old) from Santa Cruz, Galapagos Islands, in 2024. Anthropometric, dietary, metabolic biomarker, and microbiota profile data were collected. The results provide a valuable resource for understanding the interplay between diet, metabolism, and microbiota in a geographically and ecologically isolated setting with a high prevalence of obesity.
