City and ETJ Limit

The purpose of this data is to show the boundaries of municipalities and their respective extraterritorial jurisdictions (ETJ's) in Carteret County. These data can be useful for reference by the general public, as well as permitting and planning and inspections. This dataset is a collection of polygons representing boundaries of municipalities within Carteret County. These polygons were mapped using information from the Carteret County Tax Department, the Carteret County Register of Deeds, and each municipality's planning department. The dataset is updated by the GIS Division of the Carteret County IT Department on a monthly basis, as well as whenever new annexations are recorded.
