In our study, we show that the Tenerife lizard Gallotia galloti is the most important pollinaiton agent for Lotus maculatus, a critically endangered and endemic plant to Tenerife (Canary Islands). Gallotia galloti was the only vertebrate recorded as flower-visitor. Not only all visits made by lizards were legitimate, but this species is also able to carry pollen grains and to enhance the plant's reproductive success. On the othe hand, the insects Apis mellifera and Lasioglossum arctifrons acted as nectar rober and pollen gathered, respectively.
