Summary results of Poisson (P) and negative binomial (NB) regression models used to examine the effect of zoning (areas closed/open to fishing) on the relative abundance of sharks (2004–2010).

The performance of P and NB models were compared using Akaike's information criterion (AIC) against nested models and significant differences were evaluated with maximum likelihood ratio tests (χ2, p<0.05). Species: Carcharhinus amblyrhynchos, C. albimarginatus, Galeocerdo cuvier and Triaenodon obesus.
