Seed-to-seedling transition represents a key developmental and metabolic switch in plants. To understand the contribution of Polycomb repressive complex 2 (PRC2) during seed-to-seedling transition, we analysed the reprogramming of H3K27me3 and associated transcriptomic changes in shoot and root tissues of heterotrophic (3 days after germination induction) and photoautotrophic (7 days after germination induction) wild type Arabidopsis thaliana seedlings. In parallel we performed transcriptomic and metabolomic analysis in shoot and root tissues of photoautotrophic and mixotrophic PRC2 mutant (clf29/- swn3/-) seedlings.
