Intradermal injection of recombinant GARS protein caused skin Inflammation and thickening

Aminoacyl tRNA synthetases form a group of universally expressed enzymes that catalyze the first step of protein synthesis. Recent studies have reported that some AARS family members may have additional cytokine-like activities in multiple physiological conditions, such as signal transduction, inflammation, angiogenesis and cell proliferation, etc. We found that intradermal injection of recombinant GARS protein caused skin IFN-driven Inflammation and thickening in vivo.
