资源简介:
This dataset contains slab ocean forcing file and key model outputs from CAM5 simulations used in: Kong, W., L.M. Swenson, and J.C.H. Chiang, Seasonal Transitions and the Westerly Jet in the Holocene East Asian Summer Monsoon. Journal of Climate, doi:10.1175/JCLI-D-16-0087.1 link Methods Data collection: This dataset was generated from numerical experiments. We used the Community Earth System Model (CESM) 1.2.2 and chose the compset "E_1850_CAM5", which includes the coupler, active atmosphere, land, and ice components, and a static slab ocean. The atmospheric component is the Community Atmosphere Model version 5 (CAM5) at 0.9x1.25 horizontal resolution and 30 layers of vertical resolution. The ocean heat transport convergence (i.e., the "Q-flux") from a CESM1 preindustrial fully coupled run is prescribed to the slab ocean model to achieve a simulated sea surface temeprature close to the preindustrial. Each experiment was integrated for 60 years, and the last 30 years were averaged to generate climatology. This dataset includes daily or monthly climatology of key variables from four simulations: preindustrial (PI), 3000 years ago (3ka), 6000 years ago (6ka), and 9000 years ago (9ka).  See Kong et al. (2017) for more details.  Data processing: The vertical coordinate of model output were interpolated from hybrid coordinate to pressure coordinate using NCAR Command Language (https://www.ncl.ucar.edu/Document/Functions/Built-in/vinth2p.shtml).
