ECCC-GTSLv1 was produced based on ECCC's Global Deterministic storm Surge Prediction System (GDSPS). The dataset dynamically accounts for contributions from storm surges, tides, baroclinicity, and their nonlinear interactions. Special efforts have been made to include or improve these components through nudging of deep water tidal transports, nudging of 3D temperature and salinity, and by calibrating the wind drag coefficient. The dataset includes both the shoreline grid data produced by the control run (YYYY_shoreline.nc.gz and shoreline_lonlat.nc.gz) and tide-gauge data (tide_gauge.tar.gz) An recent updated version (ECCC-GTSLv2, https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.20380403) addresses the gap arising from underrepresented small to medium sized tropical cyclones.
