Riverstone railway crossing : preliminary environmental investigation

The RTA proposes to construct a railway overpass at Riverstone to improve road safety and the flow of vehicle traffic on Garfield Road across the railway line. The proposal seeks to separate road traffic from rail movements by providing a grade separated crossing of the railway line. The purpose of this preliminary environmental investigation is to i) identify and summarise the likely environmental constraints and issues that should be considered as part of an environmental impact assessment and approval prior to construction and ii) provide advice to guide the RTA in its consideration of whether the proposal should be assess under pat 3A, 4 or 5 of the NSW Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1997

新南威尔士州交通局（RTA）拟在里弗斯通（Riverstone）修建一座铁路跨线桥，以提升加菲尔德路（Garfield Road）跨铁路路段的道路安全水平与车辆通行效率。本方案通过设置立体交叉跨越铁路线，实现道路交通与铁路运行的物理分离。本次初步环境调查的目标为：其一，识别并梳理施工前环境影响评价与审批流程中需纳入考量的潜在环境制约因素与相关问题；其二，提供咨询意见，以指导RTA判断本方案应依据《1997年新南威尔士州环境规划与评估法（NSW Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1997）》的第3A、第4及第5部分开展评估。
