Light is one of the critical factors affecting crop growth. Real-time monitoring of light intensity changes in Zhenzhu Village, Pingyang County helps understand crop growth status, and allows adjusting lighting conditions as needed to improve crop yield and quality. Villagers can take timely shading measures based on the light intensity change index data to protect crops from damage caused by excessive strong light. (1) Data Collection: Via online devices, real-time measurements are conducted once per minute to obtain two sets of data: the light intensity data of the section in Zhenzhu Village, Pingyang County, Wenzhou City (abbreviated as A, unit: Lux), and the average light intensity data of the minute prior to the current timestamp (abbreviated as B, unit: Lux); (2) Data Processing: The light intensity change index (abbreviated as α) is calculated using the measured light intensity data A and the average light intensity data B of the previous minute, with the formula: α = (A - B) / B; (3) Data Application: The value of α can be either positive or negative. When α > 0, it indicates that the current light intensity is higher than the average light intensity of the previous minute; when α < 0, it means the current light intensity is lower than that average value. Combined with the magnitude of the light intensity data A, the quality of weather conditions can be analyzed and predicted, and early warnings for severe weather changes can be issued.
