Arbuscular mycorrhizal fungal (AMF) communities affected by long term nutrient deficiencies

AMF were studied in soil DNA, soil RNA and root DNA samples from a long term (70+ years) field experiment testing N, P and K deficiencies on grassland community composition and functioning, as well as production sustainability. Effects of individual as well as multiple element deficiencies could be disentangled, and their effects on soil-borne and root-borne communities addressed.
