People with chronic health issues in Peru 2007-2023

In 2023, around 43 percent of people in Peru reported suffering from a chronic health issue, reaching the highest value recorded during the period analyzed. A year prior, the share of people with chronic health problems attained 42 percent. As of 2023, public healthcare expenditure in the South American country amounted to over 30 billion Peruvian soles.
