B. superbus RNA-Seq

Based on the investigation of the bumblebee species in china, we founded that several species only distributed on Tibet Plateau along with high elevation and some species just inhabited on the North of China with low elevation. Therefore, these bumblebee species have evolved the adaptation to the Tibet Plateau environment with cold temperature and hypoxia characteristics compared to the low elevation area. To discover the genetic basis, we sequenced and compared the transcriptomes to identify the regulatory factors contributing to the high-altitude adaptation in bumblebees.
