Data from: Heuchera tuckasegeensis sp. nov. (Saxifragaceae), a New Species from Western North Carolina

A new species of Heuchera (Saxifragaceae) from western North Carolina is described and illustrated herein, including phylogenomic and morphological analyses of its closest allies in the Heuchera parviflora group. Heuchera tuckasegeensis is distinguished from the other Heuchera taxa based on its distinct morphological attributes (style and stamen length, petiole and laminar hair length, and degree of leaf lobing), phylogenetic position, habitat preferences, and edaphic substrate specialization.本文记述并图解了产自北卡罗来纳州西部的矾根属（Heuchera，虎耳草科Saxifragaceae）一新种，并针对其在小花矾根组（Heuchera parviflora group）中的近缘类群开展了系统基因组学与形态学分析。塔克西吉矾根（Heuchera tuckasegeensis）可凭借其独特的形态特征（花柱与雄蕊长度、叶柄及叶片被毛长度、叶裂程度）、系统发育位置、生境偏好以及基质专化性，与其余矾根属类群相区分。
