资源简介:
In this study, three Lactobacillus strains with anti-Candida effects were selected and formulated them in a gel for vaginal application. This gel was evaluated in 20 patients suffering from acute VVC, who were followed for four weeks including a 10-day treatment period. The ability of the gel to modulate the microbiome was assessed through 16S rRNA (bacteria) and internal transcribed spacer (ITS; fungi) amplicon sequencing at four visits (day 0= intake, day 7, day 14 and day 28). If you are looking for the samples associated with the publication "Impacts of Menstruation, Community Type, and an Oral Yeast Probiotic on the Vaginal Microbiome" (Oerlemans et al., 2022, mSphere), these are stored under project PRJEB63251.
