Practices associated with mastitis and cost. Supplementary material

The objectives of this study were to estimate the adoption rate of udder health and herd management practices based on a random sample of pasture-based dairy farms in Uruguay, and to determine their association with bulk tank somatic cell count and with partial costs of subclinical mastitis (yield losses and penalties).

Farm Survey Instrument used to collect general farm information, data on milking routine, record keeping &targets, mastitis detection & treatments, recent cases & milk withheld from the bulk tank, milking equipment & maintenance, cow comfort, and dry-cow management.

本研究旨在基于乌拉圭放牧型奶牛场（pasture-based dairy farms）的随机抽样样本，评估乳房健康与畜群管理措施的采用率，并明确其与奶罐体细胞数（bulk tank somatic cell count）以及亚临床乳腺炎（subclinical mastitis）的部分成本（产奶损失与处罚金）之间的关联。本研究所使用的农场调查问卷工具（Farm Survey Instrument）用于采集以下数据：农场基本信息、挤奶常规流程、记录留存与管理目标、乳腺炎（mastitis）检测与治疗措施、近期发病案例及奶罐截留奶量、挤奶设备及其维护状况、奶牛舒适度管理以及干奶牛管理（dry-cow management）。
