In this study, we characterised transcriptomes of hESC-derived transient anterior definitive endoderm (ADE) and expanding ventral foregut (VFG) culture by single-cell sequencing. We also examined the effect of BMP4 withdrawal and FGF2 stimulation in the VFG culture. Overall design: This study contains 4 conditions and 8 samples of human embryonic stem cells differentiated into definitive endoderm and ventral foregut progenitors under different conditions. The single cells were specifically sorted for CD117 and/or CXCR4 protein.
