Microbial communities of the Kultuk groundwater reservoir located in active fault zone of the Baikal rift

The primary objectives of this research were: i) to study the taxonomic structure and diversity of microbial communities in two wells of the groundwater reservoir and biofilms formed on the sensors; ii) to determine the chemical composition of water in the wells and compare it with the water and sediments from Lake Baikal; iii) to assess the influence of physicochemical parameters on the distribution of individual taxa.
