Dataset ramp walking

Thirteen healthy volunteers (five women, eight men) with a mean age of 28.2 ± 4.7 years, mean body mass of 73.3 ± 12.4 kg and mean height of 1.78 ± 0.09 m walked on a 6 m long, instrumented ramp at different ramp inclinations (0°, 7.5° and 10°) up and down. For the biomechanical data a 3D marker-based gait system was used, consisting of ten infrared cameras and two video cameras, and three consecutive force plates in the middle of the ramp. The participants were prepared for 3D gait analysis following the standard protocol for the Plug-in Gait Full body marker set and completed twelve trials per condition.<br>There are three folders including different levels of data processing:<br>- c3d files: raw data in c3d format<br>- txt files: exported raw data in txt format<br>- npz files: calculated data, including biomechanical variables packed in npz format<br><br>Each of these folders include full data sets of eleven participants. Every participant-folder contains six subfolders named after the experimental conditions. These folders include all twelve trials of the condition. Note that for level up and level down only six trials exist for each because of the equality of these two conditions; here, “up” and “down” only denote the walking direction.<br>The raw data (c3d and txt files) also include a folder named “incomplete data”. This contains the data sets of two participant were less than twelve valid trials per conditions exist.
