Florarna_bog_fen_species.csv - Comma delimited file with subplot coordinates, environmental data, and recorded cover of each species in each subplot (50 × 50 cm). The following columns are included (column numbers are given): (1) - community, the community classification done by Tord Ingmar in 1960. Different classifications were used for the bog and the fen. (2) - site, bog or fen. (3) - subplot, the subplot id. (4) - year of data collection. (5,6) - pH and EC (electrical conductivity). (7) - hwt, height above the water table in cm. (8,9) - x/y coordinates of the center of the subplot in projection EPSG:3006 (SWEREF 99 TM). (10 to 86) – percent cover of each plant species (see <i>Method</i> section in the paper for a detailed description). Full species names are given in the appendix of the paper (Table A1). clim_data_smhi.csv - Comma delimited file with monthly means of temperature and precipitation from January 1961 to December 2012. Data from SMHI, Swedish Meteorological and Hydrological Institute. License: CC BY-SA 2.5 SE. The rest of the files are shapefiles and the required supporting files. These shapefiles describe the microtopography of the sites in 1960 and 2012 and the extent of the two plots (bog and fen). The projection is EPSG:3006 (SWEREF 99 TM). Here is brief description of the shapefiles.
