Content analytical evaluation of the so-called ´poverty certificates´ in view of the social and economic situation of the ´Hausarmen´ in Cologne during the time of the French occupation (1798 to 1808) and the evaluation of this situation by the responsible authorities. Topics: Topographic distribution of the Hausarmut, marital status and living conditions of Hausarmen, causes of the poverty, reasons for being needy, amount and type of support, justification of poverty, perception of poverty by the authorities, support and decision-maker in the authorities. Inhaltsanalytische Auswertung der sogenannten ´Armutszeugnisse´ im Hinblick auf die soziale und ökonomische Lage der ´Hausarmen´ in Köln während der französischen Besatzungszeit (1798 bis 1808) und der Bewertung dieser Lage durch die zuständigen Behörden.
