Study of the spatial and temporal genetic structure of R. padi in England using genotyping-by-sequencing

We have performed a population genetics study of Rhopalosiphum padi, a harmful pest of cereals in Europe and a main vector of the barley yellow dwarf virus (BYDV). Individual R. padi were collected using the Rothamsted Insect Survey's (RIS) suction-trap network at several sites across England between 2004 and 2016 as part of the RIS long-term nationwide surveillance. The genome assembly of R. padi was first improved to use it as reference in the analyses of population structure. This study contains the Illumina reads of R. padi used for the genetic structure study.
