Assessment of microbial community structure in various biological water treatments in Japan

In biological water treatment, ammonia nitrogen and biodegradable organic matter, which can't be removed by conventional treatment process, must be removed by microbes. So it is important to understand what kind of microbes there are. Here, I evaluated the microbial community structure targeting on 16S rRNA genes, in biological water treatment plants in Japan.
