PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress a rise in temperature of a fixing member used for fixing a guide bar to a body part. SOLUTION: A chain saw 1 comprises a body part， a guide bar， a saw chain， a fixing member， and a control circuit 36. The body part houses a driving source 10 configured so as to generate a driving force by rotating in its inside. The fixing member is arranged outside the body part to fix the guide bar to the body part. A control circuit 36， when a preset protection condition indicating that a member temperature being a temperature of the fixing member (a temperature sensor 52) is equal to or higher than a preset protection temperature is satisfied， executes one of stopping processing for stopping the rotation of the driving source 10 and reducing processing for reducing the rotation of the driving source 10 compared with a case where the protection condition is not satisfied.
