Effect of Tat-SF1 depletion on basal and Tat-dependent HIV-1 transcription in T-Rex-293 cells^*.

CAT activity was the value of the slope of the linear function obtained by plotting cpm of acetylated chloramphenicol versus time. Luciferase activity of the same sample was measured with a luminometer. For both reporter assays, background values obtained from lysis buffer alone were subtracted from each sample.
