Foraminifera (living) count data containing infomation about the samples volume and split number, used to calculate 'foraminiferal density' from sediment surface samples at stations REF, IF20-12, IF20-10, IF20-18, IF20-01 and IF20-04@en

To obtain the foraminifera count data sediment (stained with Rose Bengal, a solution which causes living tissue to appear pink) was washed through a 63 µm sieve and then picked using a standard stereo-microscope. Only living individuals (indicated by pink stain) were included in the data set.为获取有孔虫（Foraminifera）计数数据，将经玫瑰红（Rose Bengal，一种可使活组织呈粉红色的染液）染色的沉积物样品通过63 µm孔径筛冲洗，随后借助标准立体显微镜进行挑拣。本数据集仅纳入带有粉色染色标记的存活个体。
