Global Yearly Forest Height in 2000-2020

This dataset describes Global Tree Height(HT) by GEDI and MODIS GLASS Dataset in 2001-2020.The Spatial resolution of thisdataset is 0.00833333 degree in GCS_WGS_1984.The HT data based on GEDI SAWA indices in 2020 was used as a benchmark data,indices dervied from MODIS Global lAnd Surface Satellite (GLASS) datasets in 2020 were used to retrieval the HT.Different retrieval models were developed by Random Forest considering different forest types from MODIS MCD12Q1 Dataset within different continents. The final map in 2000-2020 were extracted by the information from MODIS GLASS datasaet with the models. The overall accuracy of the datasets are close to 75%.本数据集依托GEDI与MODIS GLASS数据集，刻画了2001-2020年全球树木高度（HT）的分布情况。该数据集的空间分辨率为0.00833333度，采用GCS_WGS_1984地理坐标系。以2020年基于GEDI SAWA指数生成的树高数据作为基准数据集，利用2020年MODIS全球陆面卫星（GLASS）数据集衍生的指数开展树高反演。针对不同大洲的不同森林类型，基于随机森林算法构建了多套树高反演模型，所用森林类型数据源自MODIS MCD12Q1数据集。借助上述反演模型结合MODIS GLASS数据集的相关信息，最终生成了2000-2020年的全球树高分布图。该数据集的总体精度接近75%。
