资源简介:
This dataset contains behavioral data from male and female rats examining the effects of intranasal pGDNF (plasmid glial cell line-derived neurotrophic factor) DNA nanoparticles on oxycodone seeking behavior. Following jugular catheterization surgery, rats underwent oxycodone self-administration training using a fixed-ratio schedule (FR1 and FR5) over 12 days, followed by a progressive ratio test on Day 13. On Day 14, rats received intranasal infusions of either saline (VEH) or pGDNF nanoparticles under anesthesia. Following 27 days of forced abstinence, oxycodone seeking was assessed via a 90-minute reinstatement test on Day 42. Data include: active and inactive lever presses, oxycodone infusions earned, breakpoint values, body weights, and withdrawal monitoring scores across all experimental phases. Group sizes: Male VEH (n=17), Female VEH (n=15), Male GDNF (n=16), Female GDNF (n=17). This dataset also includes all intravenous self-administration (IVSA) data through Day 14 for subjects used in central dopamine exocytosis studies conducted by collaborator Dr. Emmanuel Pothos. The corresponding electrophysiology dataset is available at doi: 10.17632/mz25fgvtv2.1 Supported by NIH HEAL Initiative grant 1UG3DA050942-01A1.
