Genetic Diversity of Northern Wild Rice (NWR; Zizania palustris L.)

These files contain genotyping-by-sequencing (GBS) data from a collection of Zizania palustris samples collected from 10 lakes/rivers on public land in northern Minnesota and 2 lakes in western Wisconsin, one Zizania aquatica population from Minnesota, and representative samples of cultivated NWR from the University of Minnesota breeding program (cultivars, elite breeding lines, etc). The results from this study are important for understanding how much genetic diversity is present in wild and cultivated NWR, how much gene flow is occurring, how the populations are structured. The ultimate goal is to assist in the conservation of NWR in the wild improve genomic resources for cultivated NWR.
