Selection of Han dynasty paronomastic glosses

This is a digitized collection of the paronomastic glosses found in the appendix of W. South Coblin, A handbook of Eastern Han sound glosses, Hong Kong: Chinese univ. Press, 1983. Whereas Coblin used the Old and Middle Chinese reconstructions of Li Fang-Kuei, this dataset uses the Late Han reconstructions of Axel Schuessler (Minimal Old Chinese and Later Han Chinese: A Companion to Grammata Serica Recensa, Honolulu: University of Hawai‘i Press, 2009). The data set is incomplete, ending mid way through Xu Shen, and many characters were not found in Schuessler 2009.本数据集（dataset）为W·索思·柯蔚南（W. South Coblin）所著《东汉音注手册》（A Handbook of Eastern Han Sound Glosses，香港：香港中文大学出版社，1983年）附录中收录的同源词音注（paronomastic glosses）的数字化合集。 柯蔚南的研究采用李方桂的上古汉语与中古汉语构拟体系，而本数据集则采用阿克塞尔·舒斯勒（Axel Schuessler）《最简上古汉语与后汉汉语：<修订版汉文典>导读》（Minimal Old Chinese and Later Han Chinese: A Companion to Grammata Serica Recensa，檀香山：夏威夷大学出版社，2009年）中的东汉晚期汉语构拟体系。 本数据集尚未完备，在收录至许慎（Xu Shen）相关内容的中途即告终止，且有大量汉字未见于舒斯勒2009年的论著中。
