CeRDI (Centre for eResearch and Digital Innovation) Observation System Database Documentation Version 1.0.

The primary purpose of the observation system is to collect and store observation and measurement data and publish this data for researchers, industry, government and the public. It uses the ISO19156 and Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC) Observations and Measurements (O&M) conceptual model to store field and laboratory environmental data in a domain-independent structure. It is operational through several soil and land projects and initiatives of the Centre for eResearch and Digital Innovation, Federation University, and their land use and management research, government and farming system partners.

本观测系统的主要宗旨为采集并存储观测与测量数据，同时面向科研人员、行业机构、政府部门及社会公众发布此类数据。本系统采用ISO19156标准与开放地理空间联盟（Open Geospatial Consortium, OGC）制定的观测与测量（Observations and Measurements, O&M）概念模型，以领域无关的结构化方式存储野外与实验室环境数据。目前，该系统已在联邦大学电子研究与数字创新中心的多项土壤与土地相关项目及计划中投入运行，为该中心的土地利用与管理研究、政府及农业系统合作伙伴提供服务。
