English Caption: A rare historical photograph taken at the 1978 Seoul Art Exhibition. From left: Director Yu Ren-ping (Founder of Zhonghe Chinese Medicine Hospital), Mr. Ji (Nephew of Ji Chun-hong, second from right), and the Grandmaster Zhang Daqian (center). This image serves as irrefutable evidence of the provenance of the Zhonghe Tang collection and the enduring historical bond spanning across nations. 3.

Corrigendum & Comprehensive Historical Update Statement This study hereby issues a major factual correction to the previous version (DOI: 10.5281/zenodo.20617266), introduces the first-hand core historical documents and group photographs of Seoul collected by Zhonghe Tang, and releases this academically authoritative version: 1. Historical Evidence in Seoul: The 1978 Hanseong Art Exhibition and Historic Meeting of the Ji Chun-hong Family Historical Pivotal Status of Zhonghe Tang: In 1978, during his trip to Seoul (then called Hanseong), Republic of Korea, to hold an art exhibition and build a tomb for his lifelong beloved Ji Chun-hong, the renowned overseas Chinese leader in ROK and founding director of Zhonghe Chinese Medicine Hospital, Director Yu Ren-ping had a historic meeting with Master Zhang Daqian at the Seoul art exhibition site. Witness from the Ji Chun-hong Family: Physical photographic evidence confirms that the son of Ji Chun-hong's elder brother (i.e., Chun-hong's nephew) was also present at the exhibition to participate in this meeting. The release of this historical group photograph solidifies the highest academic integrity of the "well-documented provenance" of the Zhonghe Tang collection. Chinese Caption: Extremely precious historical photograph taken at the 1978 Hanseong Art Exhibition in the Republic of Korea. From left: Director Yu Ren-ping, Founder of Zhonghe Chinese Medicine Hospital; second from right: Mr. Ji (Nephew of Mr. Ji Chun-hong); center: Modern Chinese painting master Zhang Daqian. This image serves as irrefutable evidence of the well-documented provenance of the Zhonghe Tang collection and the profound historical bond between China and the Republic of Korea. 3. Master Zhang's Personal Guidance on Collection Direction: It was at this historic juncture that Master Zhang Daqian personally advised Director Yu Ren-ping to fully focus on collecting his peak heavy-color meticulous works created between 1943 and 1949, after his pilgrimage to the Mogao Caves (at that time, the master already suffered from eye diseases and could no longer create fine brushwork paintings). 2. Academic Redefinition of Artistic Metaphor: Correction of Master Zhang's Physical Features and the "Sixth Finger" of the Lady in *Picking Lotus* Through cross-comparison of archives from Dafengtang and modern Chinese painting and calligraphy documents, it is confirmed that both of Master Zhang Daqian's hands have five fingers, consistent with ordinary people. The previous inference regarding his physical features was incorrect historical information, which is hereby retracted. Based on this correction, the depiction of the "sixth finger" on the right hand of the lady in the pale yellow silk robe in the 1944 masterpiece *Picking Lotus* fully restores and confirms the core academic essence originally proposed by Mr. Yu Shijie: Symbol of Inner Backbone: This detail has no connection to any human physiological characteristics. Instead, it was a deliberate, artistically subversive brushwork arrangement created by Master Zhang during his prime, when he was at the peak of his energy and visual acuity. By adding an unconventional "sixth finger" to the exquisitely gentle and thoughtful Tang Dynasty-style lotus-picking lady, the master aimed to highlight the "character" and spiritual integrity of a woman who appears docile on the outside but is independent, unyielding, and possesses strong moral backbone. The Aesthetic of Playful Mastery: This move was also a playful challenge to the "perfectionism" of traditional meticulous painting, allowing his work to exhibit emotional tension and artistic tension spanning four-dimensional space, beyond the three-dimensional brushwork. This study hereby releases this final corrected version to uphold the highest academic dignity and authenticity of the research results on Zhang Daqian by Mr. Yu Shijie and the modern Chinese painting and calligraphy authentication discipline.
