Multiple regression analyses between red blood cells (RBC), hemoglobin (Hb), hematocrit (Ht) and body mass index (BMI) in normal weight (Lean, n = 725), overweight (OW, n = 688), obese (Obese, n = 423) subjects from the study population (n = 1836). P value for F test was <0.001 in all models except for Model 1. Data adjustments: Model 1: age, sex, smoking habits. Model 2: Model 1 + Waist Circumference. Model 3: Model 1 + Homeostasis Model Assessment.
