The assembly MfuMAL0045_1.0 is based on 45x PACBio CCS data, 52x of paired-end Illumina NovaSeq, and 111x Hi-C data. The assembly was performed due to the following steps: primary assembly generation after removal of low-quality reads and sequence adapters from CCS data with an N50 value of 15.54 kb using Hifiasm (v 0.16). Chromosome-scale scaffolding was performed with 70.77 Gb clean data generated from the Hi-C library and mapped to the MfuMAL45 genome using BWA (bwa-0.7.17) with the default parameters. 17 pseudochromosome-scale scaffolds were assigend by synteny based on Malus domestica.
