资源简介:
In 2023, the USGS 3D Elevation Program (3DEP) funded the collection of topo-bathymetric lidar (sometimes referred to as "green lidar") in the Santiam River Basin, Oregon. As part of this acquisition, lidar data were collected on the North, Middle and South Santiam and Santiam Rivers, encompassing reaches upstream of Detroit, Green Peter and Foster Lakes on each river and extending approximately 125 km to the confluence of the Santiam and Willamette Rivers. Bathymetric lidar produced measurements of river bathymetry in channel areas that were generally less than 3 m in depth but did not produce measurements in deeper areas of the river. To fill the gaps in the topo-bathymetric lidar dataset (commonly referred to as "voids"), the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers funded USGS to collect boat-based multi beam and single beam sonar data as well as acoustic Doppler current profiler (ADCP) depth data and integrate those data and the lidar data into a single digital elevation model (DEM). The datasets within this data release include a) the final DEM encompassing the North, South and mainstem Santiam river corridors which integrates each data source, b) underlying boat-based sonar and ADCP data used to interpolate the lidar voids, c) a shapefile depicting spatial extents of each datasets used to create the DEM, and d) metadata describing methods used to produce each of the datasets.
