Journal acceptance times from PubMed history dates, 2026 edition

A citable benchmark of journal review times: 116 rows, one per journal and metric, for 107 journals. Every row carries its value, unit, statistic, reporting period, source URL and the date the source was read. Measured layer (104 journals). Median days from the received date to the accepted date that publishers deposit in PubMed, for research articles with PubMed publication dates 2024-01-01 to 2025-12-31 (method v3; up to 300 randomly sampled articles per journal; 27,286 dated articles). Median of journal medians: 153 days. These figures are unchanged from version 2026.2, whose records and replay package remain on that version. Publisher-reported layer (8 journals, 12 rows). Time to first decision (overall, with and without peer review) and submission to acceptance, transcribed from the journal's or publisher's own page (PLOS, JCI and JCI Insight, eLife, The Journal of Immunology), only where the publisher's terms permit reuse. Statistics are kept as stated; several are means. Limitations. Accepted papers only; received to accepted includes author revision time; the journal panel was selected for commercial relevance; not a ranking of journals and not a prediction for an individual manuscript. Excluded: figures from publisher sites whose terms forbid compiling a database, all Clarivate Journal Citation Reports fields, and any figure not current in the Manusights fact registry.
