This coverage consists of polygons that represent the aerial extent of stream channels in Iowa. This was developed from top-of-bank polygons for streams greater than 7 meters wide and stream segments that were buffered an appropriate width to approximate the stream channel for streams not covered by the top-of-bank polygons.
