The current understanding on microbial abundance and diversity in wetland environments treating greywater is in its infancy, with as yet just a few studies investigating the microbiological processes. Therefore, the goal of this research was to determinate the bacterial and archaeal community structure and to relate the treatment efficiency to the bacterial community along the greywater flow with special attention in the carbon and sulphur cycles.
