Victorian State Schools-Room Categories 2013

This dataset is a register of the room categories that exist in VictorianState schools and includes a statewide count of each category. Room categoriesare diverse, and range from General Purpose Classrooms (GPCs), sheds orstorage rooms, verandahs, electrical substations, and  TV studios. Data isrelevant to rooms that exist school sites (i.e. school grounds) owned byDEECD; counts exclude rooms on DEECD-owned non-school sites.It is important to note that rooms are classified according to their actualuse by schools, which is may not necessarily reflect intended design. Thisdistinction is useful as it also more accurately reflects the frequency atwhich rooms serve specific functions.Data is current as per Departmental records on 29 May 2013.

本数据集为维多利亚州立学校现存校舍类别登记册，包含各类别校舍的全州统计总量。该校舍类别多元丰富，涵盖通用教室（General Purpose Classrooms, GPCs）、棚屋/储物间、走廊、变电站及电视演播室等。本数据集覆盖的校舍均属于维多利亚州教育与早期儿童发展部（Department of Education and Early Childhood Development, DEECD）所有的校园（即学校场地）范畴，统计数据不包含该部门所有的非校园场地内的校舍。需特别说明的是，校舍分类依据学校的实际使用用途进行划分，而非其预设设计功能，二者未必完全匹配。这一区分具备重要实践意义，能够更精准地反映各类校舍承担特定功能的实际频次。本数据集的数据以2013年5月29日的部门官方记录为准，为截至当日的最新版本。
