Human kidney organoid scRNA-seq (from study: Genome-wide screening in human kidney organoids identifies novel aspects of nephrogenesis)

Human iPSC-derived kidney organoids used for genome-wide CRISPR screening were profiled using scRNA-seq to characterize the maturation state at day 21, 28 and 35. Unsupervised clustering attributed cell types to segmented epithelium, podocytes and stroma and revealed stable cell type identity over time with a fibrotic signature in the stroma. The 10x Genomics platform was used to profile kidney organoid single cells.
