GALE: Electra Photography Cloud Videos. Version 1.0

This dataset consists of mpg files from video tape (VHS) from flights of the NCAR Electra aircraft during the Genesis of Atlantic Lows Experiment (GALE). Included is rare subcloud layer footage of an extreme cold air outbreak on January 28, 1986. This dataset contains forward and left-looking video. WARNING: This is a big dataset. Each mpg file is about 1.3 GB. Each order can contain a maximum of 16 GB of data. For very large orders, it may be preferable for you to access these data via a loaner external hard drive. Please contact Steve Williams (sfw AT ucar DOT edu) for these very large orders.

本数据集收录了大西洋低压生成试验（Genesis of Atlantic Lows Experiment，简称GALE）期间，美国国家大气研究中心（National Center for Atmospheric Research，简称NCAR）埃尔克塔（Electra）科研飞机飞行任务所录制的VHS制式录像带中的mpg格式视频文件。其中包含1986年1月28日极端冷空气爆发事件的罕见云下层摄像影像。
本数据集涵盖前视与左视两路摄像画面。
