Fertilization-induced synergid cell death by RALF12-triggered ROS production and ethylene signaling

Plant material from synergid cells before pollination, and persistent synergid cells 12, 18, and 24 hours after pollination (hap) was collected using manual microdissection. Cell- and stage-specific RNA-seq data were generated with these cell samples to (i) investigate molecular mechanisms ensuring timely induction and execution of synergid cell death, and (ii) provide a unique resource to discover novel PCD regulators.
