Kite Aerial Photography NIMS grid Atqasuk, Alaska 2015

Aerial photographs of the Networked Info-mechanical Systems (NIMS) grid in Atqasuk, Alaska were taken using a rig and kite system. As part of the NIMS grid, white boards were nailed into the tundra to act as Ground Control Points (GCPs). The purpose of these boards was to facilitate the visibility of the grid from the aerial photographs, as well as to facilitate georeferencing using ArcMap GIS. Most of the pictures taken are high resolution although only a few are lacking good quality. The photographs are arranged according to flight date. The kite was flown about 2 times a week throughout July and August of summer 2015.

阿拉斯加州阿特夸斯克地区的网络化信息机械系统（Networked Info-mechanical Systems）网格航空影像，采用搭载装置与风筝系统拍摄完成。作为该网格的组成部分，研究人员将白板钉于冻原之上，以充当地面控制点（Ground Control Points, GCPs）。此类白板的作用在于，一是提升该网格在航空影像中的辨识度，二是便于借助ArcMap GIS开展地理配准工作。本次拍摄的影像大多为高分辨率，仅少数存在质量缺陷。所有航空影像均按照飞行日期进行排序归档。2015年夏季的7月与8月期间，风筝放飞频次约为每周2次。
