Photographic identification images of northern bottlenose whales and sperm whales in Davis Strait

Collected to help determine individual identifications for sperm whales and northern bottlenose whales in the Arctic as part of two projects looking at 1) the distribution and movement of cetaceans from known temperate latitudes in the Arctic and 2) the behavioural and vocal response of sperm whales and northern bottlenose whales to controlled sonar exposure.

本数据集作为两项科研项目的组成部分采集所得，用于辅助开展北极海域抹香鲸与北瓶鼻鲸的个体识别工作。两项项目的研究内容分别为：1）探究北极地区已知温带纬度地带鲸类（cetaceans）的分布与移动规律；2）研究抹香鲸与北瓶鼻鲸在受控声纳暴露条件下的行为与发声响应。
