This dataset consists of clumped isotope and U-Pb data of calcite slickenfibers and veins related to deformation along the basal décollement of the Swiss Jura Mountains. Clumped isotope analyses were carried out at the stable isotope laboratory of the Geological Institute at ETH Zurich using a Thermo Scientific Kiel IV carbonate device coupled to a Thermo Scientific MAT253 isotope ratio mass spectrometer. U-Pb analyses were carried out at the Institute of Geochemistry and Petrology at ETH Zurich using an ASI RESOlution S 155, excimer (ArF, 193 nm) laser ablation system coupled to a Thermo Element XR sector-field ICP-MS. All samples originate from outcrops and a deep exploration borehole (Schafisheim well) in the eastern Jura of Switzerland. This dataset constrains both the absolute timing and thermal conditions of deformation along the basal décollement and hence, the formation of the Jura fold-and-thrust belt.
